Communication and safety are essential in aviation. The International Aviation Alphabet was established to facilitate communication between pilots and air traffic controllers. Each letter is associated with a word to identify aircraft and airport taxiways. Using this phonetic alphabet ensures maximum safety and prevents mistakes caused by familiar-sounding characters. For example, the letters E and T, as well as M and N, are often confused.
